Already in America

are both  our groups of children. They took off the same day from Boryspil airport six hours one after the other. The first group from Golovchyncy orphanage was travelling longer  - through the Europe over the Atlantic ocean to NYC frist , then - over the American continent to the state Washington. Tired after the long flight the children and the chaperons all safe and sound were taken into the kind hosting families` hugs .

The second group from the Kanev orphanage has being waited impatiently in New York, it was greeted with hugs and slimes. The youngest member of the group Viktoria like a Princess was delievered under the escort to the West Coast next morning. She has being waited there!

These days our children are getting used to the local time, new surrounding, each of them is openinghis America to himself. 

Ahead is an amazing time, holidays, presents, joy!
 

Getting ready to the Christmas celebration overseas 

are twelve orphans from Golovchyncy` and eight orphans from Kanev` orphanages. Thank to the Christian families from the states VA, PA and WA, children will go. If not the families commitment the group from Kanev orphanage would stay home.

In the nearest two weeks two groups will have their visa interviews at the US Embassy. The local administrative authorities, in Khmelnytsky and Cherkassy regions, as well as two orphanages administrations were positive to and diid all their best in supporting and assisting our two groups paperwork.

We have our hope everything will be fine and children will get the true Holiday Season - Christmas and New Year in America. Like last summer all kids will be hosted by the American families. An exciting programe is being prepared for them by the accepting side. New people and new freinds are waiting for the children soon.

Day of Prayer for the Orphans in the Circle of Friends

So long and so impatiently one can wait only for the most important guests!
Saturday presented us two wonderful meetings. In total 31 students and five teachers from the orphanage agreed to spend two days with us in Kyiv.
Early morning at the train station we were welcoming a group of students from Vovkovinskiy boarding school, which is in Khmelnitsky region. Adults were rushing to them from all directions - those who have opened their homes for orphans and decided to make them a holiday.
Next group – from Golovchintsev orphanage arrived in the bus a little bit later. And again – meeting, handshakes, dropping off kids with the families. When everybody met on Sunday, students were talking non-stop – some of them visited the zoo, somebody went to the movies, many were in the theater, attractions, rollers, cafes – time just flew by!
On the occasion of the World Day of Prayer for the Orphans, “God’s People” church had a special service with the participation of our small guests. They were singing so great that people would not stop applauding. After the service a special fair was organized, all the funds from which were donated to the orphans ministry. Nobody wanted to leave, but had to.

We believe that we will soon meet again!

Seminar ` The practice of biblical counseling`

Oct.10-11 - The`New Fields Missionary` Vice-President Willy Dick, a counselor, musician, preacher and pastor was conducting the workshop `The practice of biblical counseling` for about thirty particapants at the`Circle of Friends`office.

The event was expected and looked for by many people . So different, but united by a common interest in biblical counseling the individual participants and the couples have arrived from the different corners of Ukraine. Among them were those who had attended the Conference `Orphanhood in the face of life` in March 2011 and got familiered with the `Open heart` methodics and aslo those passed the Seminar `Ten reasons for a closed heart`on October 7-8 at the TWR (Trans World Radio).

During two days the workshop participants were learning the method developed by  American counselor John Reggier and  practicing in it. 

All who took part at the workshop were learning, crying and laughing, alltogether.

By the time to say Buy everyone realized the importance and necessity of caring the hearts of each other, wishing to learn more of how to do it in a more effective way.

The next workshop is expected next spring.

Christian camps in Russia

 July 8 - August 2 – with the help of volunteers from Ukraine, two camps were held at two orphanages of the Kirov region in Russia for more than 200 orphans.  

The first camp was held in the village of Sanchursk.  128 children diagnosed with fragile X syndrome (mental retardation) are living and studying there. Second camp was organized in the small town of Tuzha..

Tutors and management of the orphanage helped in the organization of activities related to the camp program.

Children were learning how to make friends, to take care, show patience and love for each other.                                                    

Every day was full of new things and surprises.
